Energy and creativity must be harnessed. Jesus said, "Take my yoke upon you and learn of me" in Matthew 11:29. Nowhere do we find more creativity and energy than among our youth. Our purpose, therefore, is to help young people "yoke" these elements of themselves to Christ through activities that focus on the Word of God and on the development of a consistent relationship with Him.

Our approach to this great calling involves these primary elements: Bible studies, evangelistic outreaches, and youth camps/rallies.

Friday evenings are devoted to outreach. We gather at the church campus at 7:30 pm and travel to active locations in parts of Baltimore, Towson, Annapolis, Silver Spring, etc. After the evangelism time is complete, we meet for brief question and answer sessions, where we share testimonies about the evening.

On Saturday evenings, our weekly teen Bible Study happens at the GGWO Multi-purpose Room. The young people themselves lead the worship, singing the songs and playing the instruments. However, the Word of God always takes center stage. These studies are great opportunities to expose young friends and relatives to the Gospel. Many are invited from the community that they might be saved. The depth and intensity of the studies also serve to help young people become disciples; that is, they are stirred in a desire to learn more and more about Christ and His purpose for them.

With our Camp Life summer program and the youth rallies that are spread throughout the course of the year, we offer chances for young people to get away from routines to settings that are full of Truth, fellowship and fun. Check our schedule of events for more information on these things.

As you can see, there is plenty for young people to choose from at GGWO and plenty of opportunities for them to get involved in their church. The Youth Ministry is always in need of help, and we welcome inquiries from those sense that they are led of God to help make a difference in the lives of young people.
