Music ministry, not surprisingly, entails both music and ministry. It is both that we want to reflect and include in these pages. When we are finished, this website will be a comprehensive resource for assistance in different areas of music ministry.
The eight links bringing you to the different sections of this site serve the purposes of communication, instruction, assistance, and edification.
First, we hope that this website could become the hub of communication both within our department and without, nationally and internationally. While we post our newsletters and other info here, this is not about just us communicating to you, but we really are shooting for interaction through message boards and such.
Second, we will have in the future the remade Music Ministry Handbook plus number of other instructional tools available for viewing and downloading.
Third, to assist music ministers and churches we will provide a whole gamut of tools and resources. The list will be long starting from worship-song chord charts to links to useful websites, from copyright information to music downloads.
Fourth, ministry is always about edification. And all true edification is founded in the ministry of the Holy Spirit through the Word of God. Devotional articles by myself, Pastor TJ Hassler, Pastor Mark Minichiello, and many others, will be regular features in these pages.
Lastly, the general purpose of these pages reflects what Apostle Paul said in Ephesians 4:1: "I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called."
For us music ministers this could mean that both our music and ministry are balanced through the fellowship we have with the Lord in meekness and in obedience to His purpose as revealed and organized in His Body, the church.
